Tuesday night Squirts and Mites:
8/9 - No skills
8/16 - Tuesday - Martian Cup - 6:30 - 9:10 pm
Wednesday night Squirts:
8/10 - Wednesday - Martian Cup - 6:30 - 9:10 pm
Thursday Night Squirts and Pee Wee:

It is very important that you notify us if you will not be able to attend.
This is our version of the Stanley Cup Tournament! It is an opportunity for all of the Players to feel like the Bruins players did on their journey to become the Stanley Cup Champions of 2011.
It is all about the experience of feeling like an NHL player for a night!

New Mite and Squirt session added for Tuesday nights ( 6/21 - 8/16)Filled and now excepting a waiting list!
We are pleased to announce that we have added a new Squirt and Mite combined session which will be offered on Tuesday nights from 7 pm to 9 pm on the South Rink at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA.
We will separate the players by talent level for our skills and our 3 v3 scrimmages. We will look to make adjustments to the other squirt sessions based on the talent level of the players. We want to make sure we are not holding back players or have any players that feel over their head. This program is about learning, competing, and having fun!
This session will fill fast based on our waiting list for both the current mite and squirt sessions. It is a first come first serve basis for registration.

SUMMER 2011 PROGRAMS ANNOUNCED FOR YOUTH, HIGH SCHOOL, AND GOALIES
Martian Sports Skills in entering our 13th Summer of providing quality instruction for boys and girls at the youth and High School age level. Our programs are designed to give each player an opportunity to improve their game thru our program that incorporates skills and cross ice into a single night of fun each week.
Our High school program has been designed to be affordable but bring in some of the top notch instructors from the College and Prep school rankings.

SUMMER 2011 SKILLS PROGRAMS
NEW SKILLS PROGRAMFORMAT (GIRLS &BOYS)
Skills and Cross Ice Combined program for the SUMMER of 2011!!
MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY
STARTING THE WEEK OF JUNE 20TH AND FINISHISHING THE WEEK OF AUGUST 8TH
120 minutes weekly sessions, 8 weeks,
COST $240
Martian Sports Skills will continue with our new format to our successful skills program for the SUMMER of 2011! We will expand this combination of our successful skills format and the success of the development of our Cross Ice game format to 120 minutes each week for the summer of 2011. Each player will receive 60 minutes of skills instruction weekly and a 60 minute XICE GAME EACH WEEK.
Mike O’Neil and Paul Sacco will once again return to run our successful 8 WEEK, WEEKLY program for mite, squirt, and pee wee/ bantam players. Each of these programs will meet once a week for 8 weeks for 120 minutes. The program is designed around the following weekly lessons:
Week 1: Discovering your edges
Week 2: The importance of balance
Week 3: Stopping and starting
Week 4: Crossovers / quick acceleration
Week 5: Backward skating and transition
Week 6: Shooting and Stick handling
Week 8: MARTIAN CUP TOURNAMNET
All of our weekly lessons are weekly skills are reviewed each week with the purpose of building a foundation for the young players to build on throughout the entire program.
ALL SESSIONS – 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM COST IS $240 PER SESSION PER PLAYER

MIDDLE SCHOOL DEFENCEMEN SKILLS (7wk, weekly 1 hour sessions) THURSDAY NIGHTS
Chris Dymant, Boston Bruins, will once again head up our defensive and checking skills programs. Chris will be joined by Ryan Soderquist
. This program is designed on improving the skills of a defenseman by concentrating on skating, angling, position, and checking. This camp is very popular and sells out quickly.
COST PER PLAYER = $155 PER PLAYER
GRADES 6- 7 & 8 – 8:10 PM
MIDDLE SCHOOL CHECKING SKILLS – (7wk, weekly 1 hour sessions) THURSDAY NIGHTS
Martian Sports Skills will offer a weekly checking skills program. We introduce the proper method of checking both with the body and with the stick. We will teach the proper techniques and positioning of a player in all aspects of the game. This program will be limited to 30 players. Players must be in their Pee Wee and Bantam years. We will separate the players by birth years to ensure safety.

MARTIAN CUP TOURNAMENT 2011
Martian Sports Skills is pleased to announce that our 13th annual tournament will cap off our summer skills programs. This tournament is the highlight of all of our participants as they play for the right to carry the cup around the ice like their hero’s of the NHL. The winners will also have their name etched on the cup for future players to admire. The tournament will take place the week of August 8th 2011.

TO OFFER 8-WEEK GOALTENDING INSTRUCTION
FOR THE SUMMER OF 2011
MARTIAN SPORTS SKILLS AND BRIAN DACORD’S STOP IT GOALTENDING WILL COMBINE EFFORTS TO OFFER OUR POPULAR ONCE A WEEK GOALTENDING SKILLS. OUR PROGRAM
PROVIDES A STRUCTURED PROGRAM BASED ON EARLY GOALIE FUNDAMENTALS. WE WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTION TO YOUNG GOALIES THAT ARE TRUE BEGINERS AS WELL AS GOALTENDERS WITH ADVANCED SKILLS. GOALIES WILL BE TRAINED ON A 3-1 RATION AND DIVIDED BY SKILL AND AGE.

GOALIES WHO WANT INSTRUCTION FROM A PROFESSIONAL STAFF WEEKLY THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER. THIS FORMAT ALLOWS YOUR GOALTENDER TO SHARPEN HIS OR HER SKILLS OVER A LONG PERIOD AND THROUGH REPITITION, RETAIN THE MECHANICS NECESSARY TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THE NET. ..
